Judy Tate, owner of To The Penny Bookkeeping and Payroll Services, has worked in the bookkeeping and accounting industry for nearly 20 years. Since 1994 she has worked for various companies throughout North Carolina as an inventory specialist, an accounts receivable/accounts payable clerk, and an accounting office manager. She has also worked as a lead teller for a local branch of a nationally recognized bank, and as an office manager/bookkeeper for a highly successful petroleum products and services distributor on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She also serves as the chief financial officer for the Currituck County ABC Board.
She started To The Penny Bookkeeping and Payroll Services in 2012 as an extension of her commitment to accounting and to provide affordable bookkeeping and tax preparation services for individuals and small businesses located near the Outer Banks. In an effort to hone her skills as an accountant, she is currently enrolled as an Accounting major at Strayer University in Chesapeake, Va. Her goals are to complete her undergraduate degree in 2014, to have her master’s degree in accounting by 2017, and to become a CPA.
Judy spent her childhood and teen-age years enjoying the peace and serenity of the Uwharrie Mountains in Star, NC. She moved to the Outer Banks in 2005, and currently lives in Moyock, NC.
